pin showing you that there are games that pay instantly to paypal

One of the best ways to earn extra cash is by doing something you'd be doing anyway – which, if you're anything like me, can definitely include playing games on your phone to waste a bit (or ahem, a lot) of time. But finding PayPal games that pay real money can often feel like a one way ticket to every questionable website out there.

And this is why, if you're looking to quickly get paid from doing this, it can be helpful to have a list of options for how you can actually earn money by playing games that pay instantly to PayPal.

After all, if you're going to spend time on the couch playing Candy Crush or on the bus to work playing Angry Birds, why not get some extra cash from this at the same time?

Let's be clear upfront: you're not going to become a millionaire from any of these.

But in terms of getting a few extra dollars to use from time to time in your PayPal account from games that pay real money, these definitely meet that criteria.

Apps with games that pay instantly to PayPal

It's important to be aware that most game apps don't pay instantly to PayPal unless you've met the cash out limit.

This is why it can be helpful to know of other ways to make money with these apps, particularly their welcome bonuses and referral payments, to help you reach that limit quicker.

That is, if you can convince a few of your friends to sign up through your own personal link, you'll easily be able to reach the minimum payment limit in no time at all – much faster than if you were to try to get to this amount solely from playing games.

And you'll be able to see below how much this is in each case, just so you're fully aware of what you have to do in order to reach the point that you can earn PayPal money instantly.

1. Swagbucks

Sign-up bonus: $5 (and sometimes even $10!) for signing up for free at this link

Referral bonus: 10% of your friends' earnings for life

Cash out limit: $25

screenshot of swagbucks games that pay instantly to paypal

Swagbucks is one of the best apps for anyone looking to be paid to their PayPal with games that pay real money. All you have to know is that it's paid out over $530 million to its users to see that you can definitely earn money here.

It has a great range of games you can play to earn money, but there are also a ton of other ways to do this. These include completing surveys, getting cash back on your purchases and even searching the internet.

Plus you'll get a free $5 welcome bonus just for signing up!

Find out more by seeing whether Swagbucks is worth it from our review (spoiler alert: it really is).

Want to make $50 from your phone…by not doing anything extra?

Nielsen Computer and Mobile Panel will pay you $50 just for installing an app on your phone or computer. It (completely anomymously!) tracks how you use your device, with absolutely no way for this info to be traced back to you. The app is also tiny, so it won't impact performance.

And, yes, just for using your device exactly how you would be anyway, you'll get $50 for free! Find out more here.

2. InboxDollars

Sign-up bonus: $5 for creating a free profile here.

Referral bonus: $1 per referral (up to five referrals) and 30% of their lifetime earnings

Cash out limit: $30 your first time and then $10 after that

screenshot of inboxdollars where you can earn money by playing games paypal

InboxDollars is similar to Swagbucks in many ways, in that it's got a pretty good balance of different ways that you can make money.

Its surveys and videos tend to pay the most, letting you earn up to around $1.50 for each one you get through.

However, it's also got a ton of games on offer that you can get paid to play.

These include more typical arcade games, like card and word games. But you can also join their "World Winner games", which involve entering cash tournaments for games like Poker, Wheel of Fortune and casino games where you can win cash prizes.

3. MyPoints

Sign-up bonus: $10 for signing up here

Referral bonus: Starts at 25 points and increases to 10% of reach referral's earnings for life, depending on how much each friend uses the app

Cash out limit: $25

screenshot from game apps that pay instantly to paypal

MyPoints is another great, free app that lets you earn money in a variety of ways.

The main benefits of MyPoints come from when you use it to get cash back on your online shopping. But you can also combine this with getting paid to play PayPal games for real money, helping you to earn those extra dollars even faster.

In terms of the games it has, you can see a screenshot above of just some of what's on offer. As you'll see, some of these are probably games you'd be playing anyway – except here, you can get paid for it!

You can also earn money by watching videos, doing surveys and getting paid to read emails with MyPoints.

4. Toluna Influencers

Sign-up bonus: 500 points

Referral bonus: No

Cash out limit: $10

screenshot of toluna influencers where you can play paypal games for money

Toluna Influencers is super well known for the fact that it pays people to do surveys, as it's one of the highest paying sites out there.

But not many people know that you can also use Toluna to earn money by playing games through PayPal. It doesn't have the dozens of options that other apps on this list have, but the games that it does have won't disappoint you, as you can see from the screenshot above.

What's good about Toluna's games is that they bring new ones in fairly frequently, so you'll always have a rotation of new games to keep you interested. They're also great if you find yourself getting a bit bored of things like Solitaire and other card games that most similar apps offer.

5. FusionCash

Sign-up bonus: $5 for signing up at this link

Referral bonus: $1 every time you successfully refer a friend, $2 when they complete their first offer and $5 each time they cash out their earnings

Cash out limit: $25

fusioncash screenshot as an option to earn money by playing games to paypal

FusionCash is another free app with some really solid options to make money. One of its main ways to do this is by watching videos, but it also has a good variety of games on offer too.

The games are fairly similar to some of the other ones you'll see in other game apps that pay to PayPal in this article. That said, it's still worth signing up for a few of these apps to check which one pays more for your game of choice.

It's worth mentioning that FusionCash also has other tasks you can do to make money, including so-called "paid to click" tasks. This means that if you're looking for a way to make a couple of extra dollars while doing something else, like watching TV, this could be for you.

6. Dabbl

Sign-up bonus: No

Referral bonus: $2 per referral

Cash out limit: $5

screenshot of dabbl with PayPal games that pay real money

For anyone looking to make money by playing games, Dabbl is a great option to consider.

For starters, it's one of the few apps on this list that is really focused on paying you to play games.

There's a particular focus on trivia games – which, if you like going to pub quizzes (like me!), is definitely an advantage.

Another benefit of Dabbl is that you only need $5 to cash out, meaning that if you're looking for games that pay instantly to PayPal, this is one of the closest you'll get to that.

7. Drop

Sign-up bonus: No

Referral bonus: $5 per referral

Cash out limit: $5

Drop is an app that mainly lets you earn cashback on any purchases you make. And as you'll be shopping anyway, this is a great option if you're looking for free gift cards online without having to complete any offers.

Whether you're ordering food from Postmates, flights from Expedia or basically anything in between, you can earn points by simply linking your bank card to Drop. Those points are then converted to gift cards once you reach $25.

(And if you're using this on things you'd be buying anyway, it's perfect if you need money today for free!)

Also, you can speed up the process of reaching the minimum cashout amount by also playing games through the app. Simply navigate to the section in the app listing all of the games on offer and take your pick.

You'll generally be paid once you've reached a certain level of the game, although you'll also sometimes have what are known as "Supercharge Games". These are active for certain periods and let you earn even more points.

It's very straightforward to see which of these are on offer at any given time, as they're highlighted in the Drop app as soon as you enter the Games section.

8. Lucktastic

Sign-up bonus: $1 after signing up when you scratch your first digital scratch card (usually)

Referral bonus: $1 per referral

Cash out limit: $5

lucktastic scratch card where you can play games to earn paypal money instantly

Lucktastic is actually one of the few examples of actual games that pay instantly to PayPal – assuming you win, that is.

It essentially works as if you're given digital scratch cards. Much like a real scratch card, if you (virtually) scratch off a prize, it's yours! This means that it's a fun way to gamble without you having to put any of your own money in the pot.

You can read our full Lucktastic review to find out more but, as you'll see, while I thought the app was a really fun idea, it can also be a bit hit and miss in terms of whether or not you actually win something.

That is, there is the occasional person who's apparently won thousands of dollars (and even one person who became a millionaire from Lucktastic!) – but there are many more who barely win anything.

9. Daily Rewards

Sign-up bonus: CA$5 for Canadians who create an account here

Referral bonus: 10% of their lifetime earnings

Cash out limit: CA$30

Daily Rewards is the Canadian version of InboxDollars, so it's great if you're not based in the US but are still looking for ways to earn money by playing games through PayPal.

It doesn't have quite the same range of options as InboxDollars, but it's pretty close and you definitely won't be short of money making opportunities here.

This includes the fact that you can make money in other ways besides playing games, like doing surveys, watching videos and taking advantage of online deals.

10. InboxPounds

Sign-up bonus: £1 for Brits who sign up here

Referral bonus: 10% of their lifetime earnings

Cash out limit: £20

InboxPounds is also from the same company as Daily Rewards and InboxDollars, except – perhaps unsurprisingly from the name – that it's for people in the UK.

This means that you can make money in all the same ways, including by playing PayPal games for real money. It does tend to have more of a focus on getting paid to do surveys (in fact, it's one of the apps where you can do surveys that may be mail in cash – that is, they'll actually send you checks!). But there are definitely some game options available too.

While it doesn't have the same range of games as InboxDollars or even Daily Rewards, if you're in the UK and so don't have access to some of the other apps on this list, it's definitely a solid option.

11. QuickRewards

Sign-up bonus: No

Referral bonus: 5% of your friends' earnings for life

Cash out limit: $0.01 (yes, really!)

Quick Rewards is mainly focused on having users get paid to complete surveys, but you can also earn money through a bunch of other methods, including from playing games. In fact, they say that they have over 50 different ways to earn rewards for anyone based in the US, Canada or the UK.

The minimum payout amount of one cent is practically unbeatable, although it's worth taking an extra second and thinking why it could be that low. That is, there are criticisms of Quick Rewards online from people who, for whatever reason, found themselves ineligible to earn money from this app even when they were halfway through a survey or a game.

But you could definitely give it a chance, just to see if you have more luck!

12. Mistplay

Mistplay is a platform where game developers can release new games for people to test. As a player, you'll be given a list of games to choose from that you can download and start playing to make money. At the same time, developers will be able to see how much people actually enjoy playing their products.

This means that, unlike most of the others on this list, this app is entirely targeted at people looking to earn money from playing games. The amount you're paid will depend on how long you spend playing a game and how high a level you're able to reach.

Think this sounds too good to be true? Worried about whether Mistplay is legit? Take a look at our review at that link to find out more about the Mistplay app, including how to maximize your earnings.

13. Publishers Clearing House

You may have heard of Publishers Clearing House as those people that rock up at your doorstep with massive checks, but they also have an app where you can play games as a way to enter contests.

This means that you won't actually earn money by playing games through PayPal here, as you'll only earn rewards if you win one of the various giveaways you can enter.

However, the prizes can be huge and while there's no way of knowing the odds of winning, it can be a fun way to waste some time. And this is especially the case when there's the potential to earn much, much more than most of the other apps on this list..

14. Long Game

long game app with paypal games that pay real money

Long Game is interesting in that it links saving money to playing games.

How it works is that, after you open a savings account through the app, you'll have access to various games where, if you win, the rewards are transferred to your account.

The more you save in this account, the more other rewards you'll get, meaning it can, in part, become an app where you earn passive income – although not a huge amount, to be fair.

And you can also tie this to other saving strategies, like creating saving jars directly in your account.

It's true that these aren't games that pay instantly to PayPal, although they do pay instantly to your account, so it can be a fun way to boost your savings by a little bit. And you can always transfer your earnings to your PayPal account immediately afterwards.

(And as a general comment, I'd always recommend keeping your savings in an account where you can earn much more interest than what Long Game can offer. CIT Bank's Money Market account is my pick for this as not only is the interest rate basically unbeatable, but it's fee-free.)

15. Givling

Givling is a trivia app where you can win money for answering questions.

One way to do this is by joining one of Givling's trivia rounds, which you can do up to twice a day. By being part of a three-person team, your group will answer true or false questions and if you have the highest score at the end of the overall round, you'll divide up the cash prize between you.

You can also play other games on your own where you earn points. The ads you'll see while playing these games earn money, which is then split between players to pay off their student debts and mortgages.

All this means that you're not guaranteed to earn money here, but it is an interesting concept, especially if you love trivia.

16. CashOut

cashout app with paypal games that pay real money

CashOut, like similar apps, lets you earn money in a variety of ways, such as by completing surveys or installing apps.

However, it also has a great range of games you can play to make money. In fact, while there may not be as many games on offer here as with some of the other apps, it actually has some different games instead of the usual Solitaire or Snake options you often see.

You won't earn a fortune here, but a few people in reviews have commented that it only takes two to three days to get your pay out – which, for these apps, is as close as you'll likely get to being paid instantly to your PayPal account.

17. AppNana

appnana games

As you can see from the screenshot, AppNana pays you for playing games that you may be playing anyway. With options like Angry Birds and Minecraft for you to earn rewards, this is a great example of getting paid to do something that doesn't require any extra effort on your part.

Be aware that not all the reviews of this app are entirely positive, with some reviewers noting that it can take ages to earn enough points that have any real value.

That said, these games do pay practically instantly to PayPal, with payments being received within 48 hours of redeeming – when you actually reach the minimum cash out amount.

18. CashPirate Buzz

Given how basic CashPirate Buzz looks when you first open it, it's actually kind of amazing how good the games options are here.

For instance, as you can see from the screenshot above, there's a wide range of different types of games, whether you prefer card games like Solitaire or more strategy-like games, like Age of Legends. And not only can you earn money by playing games via PayPal, you can even get paid for using an online coloring book!

The earnings, however, aren't quite as amazing, as it can take some time to earn enough points to cash out. That said, getting paid to your PayPal account can be done when you earn as little as $2.50, which is definitely doable.

What game apps pay you instantly?

No game app will pay you the second that you earn your rewards, but they will pay you instantly as soon as you reach the minimum cash out amount.

That's going to be easier said than done in some cases, especially for apps where you don't earn that much from playing games or where they have a high cash out limit compared to the value of their rewards.

This is why, based on our experience, we'd recommend the following game apps as being the quickest ones to get paid:

  • Swagbucks
  • MyPoints
  • InboxDollars (or InboxPounds if you're in the UK or Daily Rewards if you're in Canada)
  • Toluna

The reason why we'd suggest focusing on these apps is partly because they offer a bunch of other ways for you to make money. This means that, if you get sick of playing games before reaching the cash out limit, you have other options to keep earning money.

Specifically, most of them also have surveys you can do to get paid. You can also use these apps to get cash back on your purchases, both in-store and online.

In fact, this is a really effective way to make money given you'd probably be buying these things already. And when combined with the money you've earned from playing games, not to mention all the sign up bonuses, you'll easily be able to reach the cap and get paid instantly to PayPal.

What games give you PayPal money?

All of the apps listed above include games that give you PayPal money. These include:

  • Swagbucks
  • MyPoints
  • InboxDollars
  • InboxPounds
  • Daily Rewards
  • Toluna
  • FusionCash
  • Dabbl
  • Drop
  • Lucktastic

That is, these apps will either pay you directly to your PayPal account or with PayPal gift cards, which you can then redeem for cash in your account. You can also choose to redeem your earnings for gift cards from a bunch of other places, like Amazon, Walmart, Target and Starbucks.

Do PayPal games pay real money?

All of the games that pay you through PayPal pay real money. How they work is that your earnings are deposited in your PayPal account and, from there, you can either transfer this money to your bank account or purchase items using PayPal. Either option lets you use this money like actual cash.

While you won't find any games that simply send you cash, it's extremely simple to get paid through PayPal for these games – and it's almost like playing for real money.

Related: Qmee Review: Is It a Legit App for Making Money?

What games actually give you real money?

Any game that pays you through PayPal does actually give you real money. You will have to redeem your earnings either directly to your PayPal account or in exchange for a PayPal gift card, the funds from which can then be added to your account. From there, the money in your PayPal account can be used just like real money.

In very few cases, you may find an app that can pay you directly to your bank account. In most cases though, you'll earn money by playing games to your PayPal account.

(And by the way: there are even other ways to get free PayPal money instantly…)

This shouldn't be seen as a disadvantage as, ultimately, it's the same as getting paid real money – even if you do have to follow a few more steps to get to that point.

Do game apps pay real money?

Most game apps pay real money by having you exchange points that you earn in the game for either gift cards or PayPal cash. In many cases, these can include PayPal gift cards, which can then be transferred to your PayPal account and used exactly like real money.

One possible exception is those apps that have surveys that pay by mail in cash, which will send you checks for what you earn. Some of those same survey apps also let you make money for playing games, so they're probably the closest you'll get to the games paying you directly in cash.

Either way, this is why it's important to know the "exchange rate" for any points you earn. After all, it's great to earn 1,000 points but if you spend 10 minutes playing a game to earn this and they're only worth $0.10, it's probably worth finding a quicker way to make money.

Which app gives you real money?

Plenty of apps give you real money in exchange for you performing certain tasks, including playing games, completing surveys, watching videos, searching the internet and shopping online. One of the best apps for this is Swagbucks, which pays you real money (plus a $5 sign up bonus) for doing all these tasks.

That is, we've tried a lot of them and, in our experience, Swagbucks is easily one of the best. This is based not only on how much it pays relative to other, similar apps, but also due to the variety of ways you can earn money from it. And sure, that includes being paid to your PayPal for games that pay real money – but there are a bunch of other money making options here too.

And the fact it's already paid out over $400 million to its users should be enough in itself to convince you whether or not it pays out real money.

Find out more about this app here from our Swagbucks review.

How do you get your money from playing games on PayPal?

Almost every game that pays you for playing it will have a minimum cash out amount that you will have to meet to be paid through PayPal. This will usually range from $5 to $25 and so it's important to know the value of your earnings from each game app, to make sure that reaching the payout limit is feasible.

This is also why it can be a good idea to combine your game playing with the fact that most of these apps offer other ways to make money. After all, it can take a while to reach the minimum payout limit just from these games, but you can really speed this up if you, say, also take advantage of the cash back offers that they have.

The welcome payments and referral bonuses can also be great for this, as they provide a quick boost to your earnings. Just by convincing a few friends to sign on, you'll often find yourself easily reaching the amount you need to get the money you've also earned from playing games.

Final thoughts on PayPal games that pay real money instantly

As mentioned at the start, while you can actually be paid to your PayPal with games that pay real money, it's good to keep in mind that you won't earn thousands of dollars from these apps. And while some do let you earn PayPal money instantly, if you actually need money desperately, there are better ways to earn higher amounts.

However, this doesn't mean you should avoid these completely. So many of us (me included!) love to waste time on our phones playing games, so the fact you can earn even a couple of dollars from this is seriously good news.

I'd suggest downloading a few of them to see which have your favorite games as well as to compare how much you can earn from each one, as you will see the same games on different apps. This will then help you to see where to best focus all that very important couch and phone time!
